Build solutions for musicians, fans and the music industry
88Nine Radio Milwaukee has joined forces with Capitol360 Innovations Center for the 88Nine Labs Music Hackathon presented by Northwestern Mutual. This Hackathon will take place the last weekend of Startup Week Milwaukee and will be held at the brand new Cream City Labs inside Northwestern Mutual in downtown Milwaukee.
We invite developers, designers, and musicians to generate ideas for music discovery, music distribution, connecting fans with their favorite artists, how radio stations like 88Nine can help fans learn more about the music they love and discover new music.
Sandbox License: Developers will have pre-cleared access to 14k UMG audio streaming tracks. Artists included in this catalog include old and new, and cross-genre:

Startup Milwaukee Week presented by Advocate Aurora Health takes place on November 5 - 11, 2018, and is designed to connect, educate, and celebrate entrepreneurship in Southeast Wisconsin. The week's programming showcases the community's emerging companies while highlighting the resources and organizations available to foster support for entrepreneurs on their journey. The week will feature 40+ events hosted by 35+ partner organizations in the community. After team forming, each team must list their project as soon as possible on our Devpost page (https://capitolmke.devpost.com)
Solution submissions can be any form of common technology, including websites, widgets, mashups, standalone applications, mobile apps, maps, commonly accessible technologies. Participants are expected to bring the necessary hardware and software tools to build the solutions (you need your laptop if you are a developer).
How to enter
You can participate as a developer as well as a designer, concept developer or a musician. You don't need to be a professional; you will be working in a team of no more than five people. To participate in the hackathon you have to get your free ticket on our Eventbrite page.
